I graduated from S.H.I. Medical Massage School in 2005 and have been practicing locally ever since. I have experience working in a spas, chiropractic offices, gyms, and corporate environments, so I have learned how to treat a wide variety of people and conditions. Massage Therapy is my passion and I am constantly trying to learn more and learn new treatment modalities. I am so grateful for my amazing clients that have entrusted me with their care. As a person dealing with migraines and chronic pain, I've found that massage therapy helps me immensely, and it brings me great joy to help others get relief.
Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.
Massage is a tool to help your body heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to ease muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it flushes the lymphatic system, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body. It’s a gentler, more relaxing massage that will leave you feeling renewed.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve trigger points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes, those who sit for long periods of time, and people living with chronic pain. I incorporate elements of trigger point therapy and myofascial release in my deep tissue massages.
Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Swedish Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to soothe, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension and stress and allows for more comfortable deep tissue work. The stones quickly melt away tension.
Cupping, an ancient Chinese Medicine technique, is used in the treatment of many types of muscle tension, including neck pain, shoulder pain, lower back pain, and plantar fasciitis. Cups are used to create suction over areas of tension which draw the skin, muscle, and fascia into the cup. This increases blood flow and decompresses the area. It’s a wonderful recovery tool for athletes and aids in relief from many chronic pain conditions.
